Jellyfin
Jellyfin is a media server you run. Live TV can use an M3U playlist you are allowed to watch. An official Android TV app can play that Live TV. Jellyfin does not sell channels. You also need guide data if you want to record shows.
Open source means you can use, change, and share the code.
The project says the server is GPL. The official Android TV app is GPL-2.0.
Free plan
The server and the official clients are free to download. There is no paid tier on the Jellyfin site.
They host it
No hosted price on file.
Run it yourself
You put the app on a computer you control. Moderate. You install the server, add an M3U tuner, and add XMLTV guide data if you want the guide and recordings.
How close is it?
100 means it does everything the paid app does.

Keep Jellyfin correct?
If a license, a price, or a feature mark is wrong, send a correction. A labeled featured listing is $149/mo. Paying never changes rankings or scores, and it cannot take the #1 spot.
