   Copy the playlist, not the channels

   In TiviMate, write down the playlist link or the login your provider gave you. These apps do not store a channel pack you can export. Use only a service you are allowed to use.

   Note favorites and pins

   Favorite channels and any parental PIN do not leave TiviMate. Make a short list of the channels you want first.

   Install OTT Navigator on the TV

   Install the app on an Android TV or Google TV device. The FAQ says that is the right kind of TV for it.

   Step 2

   Add your playlist

   Add the playlist link. If your service gave you a username and password instead, pick that login type. The FAQ names each type. If the guide is empty, add the guide link in the provider settings.

   Step 3

   Set the picture and the lock

   Studio mode can show more than one channel. The FAQ also covers a PIN and user profiles. Turn those on after the first channel plays.

What you lose

• Recording

  OTT Navigator's FAQ says recording is part of Premium. The free app does not replace TiviMate recording.

• Favorites

  Your TiviMate favorites do not copy over. Mark them again in OTT Navigator.

• No channels are included

  Neither app sells channels. If a site offers a TiviMate or OTT Navigator subscription that includes streams, that site is not the app.
