Migrate from DocuSign to Documenso

Download completed PDFs and the certificate of completion for anything you must keep.

Time: A sitting for a small set of files. Longer if several people share the account.

Parts of this guide depend on a product screen that moves between releases. The fallback path in the steps is the one to trust.

Export

  1. Step 1

    Export while you still have access

    Download completed PDFs and the certificate of completion for anything you must keep.

  2. Step 2

    Keep a copy that is not the old account

    Put the export on a disk you control before you cancel. The export is the only rollback.

Import

  1. Step 1

    Bring a sample into Documenso

    Send new envelopes from Documenso. Do not expect old envelopes to import.

  2. Step 2

    Then do the rest

    If the sample looks right, run the rest. If it does not, stop and fix the mapping. Do not cancel the old account in the middle.

What breaks

  • What does not come with you

    Templates, bulk send, and payments on an envelope stay behind.

  • People and permissions

    Accounts on the new tool are new accounts. Sharing has to be set up again.
