Kodi
Kodi is a free media player for Android TV, computers, and more. The IPTV Simple Client add-on plays an M3U playlist and a program guide. It can catch up when your provider allows it. Kodi does not sell channels. You add a stream you are allowed to watch.
Open source means you can use, change, and share the code.
The IPTV Simple Client add-on is GPL-2.0-or-later. Kodi itself is free to download from kodi.tv.
Free plan
Kodi is free. The IPTV Simple Client add-on is free. You bring your own playlist.
They host it
No hosted price on file.
Run it yourself
You put the app on a computer you control. It is not a server you host for other people. You install the player on the device where you watch.
How close is it?
100 means it does everything the paid app does.

Keep Kodi correct?
If a license, a price, or a feature mark is wrong, send a correction. A labeled featured listing is $149/mo. Paying never changes rankings or scores, and it cannot take the #1 spot.
